About Us

Introduction

We are a small group of local people who live here, care deeply about our town, and want to make everyday life better for the residents of Newton‑le‑Willows. Our councillors and candidates are your neighbours, the people you see around town, and the ones you can turn to when something needs fixing or explaining.

Our approach is simple: honesty, fairness, and community. If we say we’ll do something, we work hard to make it happen, and if circumstances change, we explain why. Everyone deserves to be listened to and treated with respect, and we believe the best ideas come from real conversations with the people who live here.

We are fully independent. We are not linked to any national party, and we are not bound by national rules. There is no party whip, and every councillor is free to vote in the way they believe is right for residents. We look at each issue on its own merits, listen carefully to local views, and make decisions based on what is best for Newton‑le‑Willows and the wider borough.

We also believe in working constructively with others. If something is good for our town, we will support it, no matter which party proposes it. If something needs challenging or improving, we will say so. Respectful debate and open discussion lead to better decisions for everyone.

Our priorities reflect what matters most to local people: cleaner and safer streets, better services, protected green spaces, support for local shops and community groups, and public money spent wisely and transparently. Above all, we want residents to feel proud of where they live and confident that their voices genuinely matter.

Local politics is about everyday life close to home. Small changes can make a big difference, and we are here to focus on what helps our borough, with Newton‑le‑Willows at the heart of every decision.
